This role is part of our Media Strategy team. We deliver end to end data driven campaigns which foster both creativity and performance. Our specialty is creative, digital communication that drives performance, boosts brand awareness, and shifts market share for our clients such as eBay, Douglas, Aldi, Smart, and more! Our team in Germany is the only agency that combines technology, creativity and data to truly deliver state of the art solutions to make our clients grow and challenge the traditional agency landscape.
Job Purpose
As a Senior Digital Media Strategist (m/f/div) at DEPT, you will be the connecting link between our client's business objectives and our agency's comprehensive service portfolio. You will work closely with our Client Service team to create and implement strategic plans for well-known brands in our client portfolio and help them navigate through the ever-evolving digital landscape.
You will be the main driver for developing long-term digital marketing strategies including communication, performance, and media tactics in collaboration with our channel & tech experts. Together with our client service team, you present your team's work & ideas eloquently in workshops, QBRs, or other formats to our clients and partners.
You will also help us win new clients by participating and/or leading in new business pitches; locally and globally.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop innovative and data-driven digital marketing strategies that align with client objectives
- Collaborate closely with our clients to understand objectives, audiences, and market landscapes
- Translate insights derived from data into a clear story to convince the client
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g. Advertising Consultants, Account Management, channel specialists) to ensure optimal execution of campaigns and projects
- Support in leading a team of fellow strategists, resulting in quality output of strategic planning across the business
- Be the driving force of projects, starting and finishing them
- Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices to ensure our strategies remain cutting-edge
- Drive our internal knowledge and be on the forefront of creating new propositions and best practices
- Fluent in German and English
- A seasoned Digital Marketing Strategist and have gained extensive experience, preferably at an agency
- Have broader digital marketing knowledge (SEO, SEA, Social, Display, Content Marketing, Data etc.)
- Experience with audience, market and competitor analysis and translating insights into actions
- See yourself as a digital generalist, linking the strategic needs of clients to Dept's service portfolio
- Can help our clients to go from business strategy to marketing strategy and implement this by giving advice, creating roadmaps and propose concepts
- Are pro-active, energetic, curious and a driver of innovation
- Are a networker and because of this you are able to bring together our different disciplines and specialists
- Can explain complex data and information in an easy and understandable manner to Internal & external stakeholders
