We’re looking for a hands-on, high-impact VP of Sales to build and scale our global revenue engine from the ground up. You’ll lead our sales team (currently 2 Account Executives), define and implement repeatable sales processes, and lay the foundation to double our ARR by driving pipeline, closing new logos, and expanding enterprise accounts. This is a unique opportunity to architect ilert’s go-to-market strategy at a pivotal growth stage, and play a key role as we set the industry benchmark for AI-driven incident response.
Tasks
- Lead, coach, and expand our sales team (currently 2 AEs), developing high-performers and building a winning culture.
- Own global revenue targets and the entire sales cycle, from pipeline generation to closing and expansion.
- Drive pipeline creation: Ensure the sales team generates at least 50% of pipeline through strategic outbound, complemented by inbound demand from our established brand.
- Develop and execute sales strategies for mid-market and enterprise segments, targeting ilert’s ideal customer profiles (ICP) in DevOps and IT.
- Partner closely with Marketing and Product to align messaging, product feedback, and go-to-market initiatives.
- Forecast, report, and optimize: Build accurate sales forecasts and dashboards; use data to continuously refine team performance and processes.
- Champion ilert’s AI-first value proposition and Agentic Incident Response demonstrating clear differentiation and value to prospects.
- Represent ilert at events, with key customers, and within the broader SaaS/DevOps community.
Requirements
- Proven experience in B2B SaaS sales, preferably selling to DevOps, IT, or engineering personas in the mid-market or enterprise.
- Track record of building, leading, and scaling sales teams to exceed ambitious ARR goals.
- Hands-on approach: Not afraid to roll up your sleeves, build your own pipeline, and close strategic deals.
- Expertise in outbound sales and pipeline generation, with a strong grasp of modern sales tech and best practices.
- Experience with ilert’s ICP and target audience: You understand the challenges and language of DevOps, SRE, and IT leaders.
- Strategic and data-driven, with the ability to forecast, set targets, and iterate on process.
- Collaborative: You thrive at the intersection of Sales, Product, and Marketing.
- Fluent in English; German is a strong plus.
- Based in (or willing to relocate to) Cologne and excited by in-person team culture.
