Electrical and Instrument Construction Specialist is a technical site-based position supporting electrical and instrumentation works within an industrial production environment. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to construction activity, quality control, and coordination across multiple workstreams.

Role Context

The Electrical and Instrument Construction Specialist operates in chemical production plants and existing facilities or buildings at an industrial site. The position involves coordination with external installation companies and close attention to technical, safety, and quality requirements.

About The Role

Electrical and Instrument Construction Specialist plays a key part in overseeing electrical, measurement, control, and regulation activities on site. The role supports the successful delivery of construction and conversion measures by maintaining progress, quality, and documentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate all construction activities in the field of electrical engineering, measurement, control and regulation.
• Manage the personnel of the external installation companies and supervise construction site activities.
• Monitor project progress, quality standards, and adherence to deadlines.
• Review measurements and support invoice verification.
• Support engineering departments in the preparation of construction phase activities, including assembly and feasibility studies and preparation of cost estimates.
• Coordinate and supervise assembly activities in accordance with legal provisions and local safety regulations.
• Carry out technical inspections, intermediate and final acceptances, and follow up defect rectification.
• Prepare and track schedules, construction diaries, reports, and final documentation.
• Participate in construction meetings, prepare work releases, and support acceptance tests.
  
  

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Several years of experience in the field of specialist construction management of projects in Germany.
• Expertise in the field of occupational health and safety on construction sites.
• Experience in chemical or petrochemical plants.
• Degree: Bachelor's, Master's, Dipl.- Ing. E&I or Technician.
• Very good written and spoken German.
• Good MS Office skills.
• Knowledge of scheduling programs is an advantage.
• Unrestricted operational capability, including inspections of higher workplaces.
