Job Overview

We are looking for a Global Technology Manager to lead technical services and application support for carbon black used in inks, paints, and coatings. The role involves customer-facing technical leadership, troubleshooting formulation challenges, supporting product commercialization, and collaborating with cross-functional global teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead global technical services for liquid system applications
• Support customers with formulation and application troubleshooting
• Handle issues related to dispersion, rheology, gloss, jetness, and filterability
• Conduct DoE trials, product evaluations, and scale-up activities
• Recommend suitable grades based on customer applications
• Develop application testing standards and performance benchmarks
• Work closely with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Sales teams
• Support product development and commercialization activities
• Lead root cause analysis and technical complaint resolution
• Prepare technical presentations, webinars, and application documents
• Manage technical operations, KPIs, and team development
  
  

Must-Have Qualifications

• Master s or PhD in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering
• 10 15 years of experience in carbon black for inks and coatings
• Strong knowledge of dispersion science, rheology, and color science
• Experience in customer-facing technical or application roles
• Hands-on experience with application testing and troubleshooting
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent in German and English
