At Cofinity-X, we are the operator of Catena-X, the data ecosystem that enables automotive companies to share data securely and with trust. Our portal, including its marketplace and our other products support companies across the value chain, from exchanging product carbon footprints and managing business partner data to tracing parts throughout the supply chain. 

As part of our small UX team in cologne, your work will have real impact on how people use our products. You'll be mentored by experienced designers while contributing to features that ship, helping evolve our design system, and exploring with us how AI can shape the way we design.

Your mission

• Help understand our users and their needs through user research
• Turn ideas and requirements into first concepts, wireframes and interactive prototypes
• Prepare and support user tests to validate concepts before they're built
• Design new screens and flows using our design system
• Help maintain and evolve the design system and create new components
• Explore how AI tools can support our design and research work and share what you learn with the team
• Work closely with other UX designers but also developers, product managers and product owners throughout the entire design process
  
  

Your profile

• Student (m/f/x) of Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or a similarcourse of study
• Solid understanding of UX principles, user-centered design and UI design
• Interest in userresearch and usabilitytestingmethods
• Curiosity aboutworkingwith AI and trying out newtools and ways of working
• Experience with AI-assisted design or prototyping tools
• Experience withFigma
• Proficiency in both German and English for professional businesspurposes

About Us

Cofinity-X GmbH is based in Cologne and was founded in 2023. It is a joint venture of BASF, BMW Group, Henkel, Mercedes-Benz, SAP, Schaeffler, Siemens, T-Systems, Volkswagen and ZF. The vision of Cofinity-X is to run an open marketplace for the provision of own and third-party business applications and further services that enable secured and standardized data transfer along the automotive value chain in accordance with the Gaia-X and Catena-X principles with initial focus on the European market.
